October 13th, 2023 by

Chevrolet unveiled the all-new 2024 Blazer EV this summer, marking an expansion of their electric vehicle (EV) lineup and a move into the midsize electric crossover segment. The Blazer EV offers a range of trims, multiple range options, and both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations to cater to various customer preferences.

This electric SUV lineup includes the 1LT, 2LT, RS, and the high-performance SS model, as well as a Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) variant for law enforcement use.

The Blazer EV is built on GM’s Ultium Platform and features a striking design inspired by Chevrolet’s performance heritage, with elements borrowed from sports cars like the Camaro and Corvette.

The SS model offers the most powerful experience, boasting up to 557 horsepower, 648 lb-ft of torque, and a rapid 0-60 acceleration time.

Key highlights of the Blazer EV include a range of up to 320 miles on a full charge, rapid charging capabilities, a spacious and tech-packed cabin, Super Cruise hands-free driving technology, and a suite of advanced safety features.

The Blazer EV’s design emphasizes its dynamic and athletic appearance, with various trims showcasing distinct characters. LED exterior lighting with unique choreographed sequences adds to its appeal.

Inside, the cabin features modern design elements, including a large 17.7-inch touchscreen, flat-bottom steering wheel (for RS and SS trims), and personalized ambient lighting.

Chevrolet has integrated advanced technology features like hands-free start, navigation to charging stations, regen braking, and a presence-based liftgate. Super Cruise, the industry’s first hands-free driver-assistance technology, is also available.

The Blazer EV offers a range of driver-assistance technologies, including Reverse Automatic Braking and Advanced Park Assist, in addition to the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite.

Ultifi, GM’s new vehicle software platform, enables frequent over-the-air software updates, enhancing the Blazer EV’s capabilities and features over time.

The Blazer EV’s performance is underpinned by GM’s Ultium Platform, offering multiple range options and drive systems, ensuring a stable and responsive ride.

Charging options include an onboard AC charging module and high-speed DC fast-charging capabilities, allowing rapid addition of range.

Chevrolet will also offer a Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) model based on the Blazer EV SS, designed to meet law enforcement needs with specific interior accommodations for police officers and equipment.
