The triumphant return of the Blazer is here and there’s a stir in the Chevy community.

Not to be confused with the now-defunct TrailBlazer, Chevy hasn’t made a two-row mid-size SUV since 2009.

The latest offering comes out swinging with a range of hot features.

This is what the buzz is all about.

It’s sleek
The exterior of the new Blazer resembles a Corvette or a Camaro more than its fellow SUVs, the Traverse and Equinox.

The RS model will have blacked-out tinted windows, black paint, and black wheels.

Chrome is the name of the game for the Premier trim.

Second-row stretch
One of the most unique features in the 2019 Blazer is the reclining seats in the second row, which also slides easily for maximum comfort.

Chevy interiors are known for being cushy and quiet, so although they haven’t released the full details, you can expect the Blazer will follow that trend.

Standard tech
Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 4-G Wi-Fi hotspot will come standard in the new Blazer.

Wireless charging and six USB ports add to the tech-appeal.

Optional technology in the RS and Premier models includes:

Adaptive cruise control.
Heated rear seats.
A rear-camera mirror.
A hands-free power liftgate.
Strength and power
Front-wheel drive comes standard, but four-wheel drive is an option.

Another upgrade you may want to consider for a little more power than the base is the 3.6-liter V-6 engine that will give you 4,500 pounds of towing capacity.

Coming soon to a showroom near you
You can’t rush out and buy the 2019 Chevy Blazer just yet.

A release date hasn’t been set, but you can expect it to hit your Serra Chevy dealer in early 2019 – possibly as soon as January.

What you CAN do while you wait is talk to one of the friendly sales staff who can fill you in on the details, help you look at your financing options, and have you ready to go as soon as the Blazer is released.
