Chevy has scored consistently high in the J.D. Power reliability rankings and 2023 is no exception. Scoring 162 problems per 100 vehicles in the most recent rankings, Chevy also received the Highest Quality Compact SUV for the 2023 Equinox, and Chevrolet’s parent company, General Motors, received four model awards for the Chevrolet Blazer, Chevrolet Silverado HD, Chevrolet Tahoe, and GMC Sierra. Ford was not included in the 2023 study.
Chevrolet’s 2023 model lineup also received seven 5-star top ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration based on extensive crash testing. The 2023 Ford Escape, on the other hand, received a “good” rating in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in a front overlap crash test.
